Bau Truc Pottery Village

Bau Truc Pottery Village is one of the oldest and most ancient pottery craft villages in Southeast Asia, recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage. Legend has it that the pottery craft originated from the couple Poklong Chanh, who were the first to create earthenware products from alluvial soil.

The village is known for its exquisite handmade pottery, fired using a unique technique found only here. Artisans use their hands to craft a variety of pottery items such as flower vases and clay pots with distinctive shapes. The main raw material is sourced from the Quao Riverbank region, which provides fine, plastic clay with many valuable natural properties, contributing to the quality and uniqueness of Bau Truc pottery.
